Taggart Pipes & Drums is a non-profit organization based in Deep River, Connecticut.  Under the leadership of Pipe Major, George W. Martin, since being formed in 1990, the bands continues its focus on promoting all phases of Celtic culture and music.  This is done primarily by participating in local parades, musters and festivals in Connecticut and surrounding New England states including, from time to time, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Originally formed as a pick up band participating mostly in parades, the band has grown into a well known marching band!  It is almost taken for granted that the band will participate in community events and is always received warmly!

Members uniforms consist of traditional highland dress with kilts pertaining to the ancentral clan tartans of an individual member.  We wear jacobite shirts made of high quality muslin to mimic those worn by the Ancient Highlanders.
